821Steve in greenhouseSteve Eyre holds a collection of some 3,500 bulbs of Nerine sarniensis having taken some of Ken Hall's collection from Springbank Nursery in the Isle of Wight, and Chris Edwards' collection also from the Isle of Wight. These are now housed in a 30 foot polytunnel, and two 20 foot greenhouses at Bickham.

Native to South Africa, Nerine sarniensis need to be kept frost-free unlike Nerine bowdenii which can be grown out-of-doors in the UK.
