Devon Group Events

Devon Group Events are open to all Plant Heritage Members and their guests, and will take place whatever the weather, unless the owner of the venue decides that it is too hazardous. If an event is cancelled for this reason, we will update this website as soon as possible, and make every effort to contact members who have booked for the event.

Prior booking is required for some events. This is because the number of people that can be accomodated in the venue is sometimes limited, or because a meal is included and the caterers need to know how many meals to provide, or because transport is provided, with a limited number of seats. You can book directly from this site by clicking on the Contact name provided on the Event Details page, which will take you to a page where you can send an email directly to us. Please ensure that you include your name, the name of any guests you may be bringing, and at least a telephone number so that we can contact you if necessary. Alternatively, the Contact page also displays the name, phone number and address of the Event Contact, so that you can book by telephone or in writing.

There is a small charge for most events, that covers the cost of any refreshments provided, any entrance fee required by the owner of the venue (which is often donated by the owner to a charity), and any other costs involved. We appreciate payment before the event; please send cheques made out to 'Plant Heritage Devon Group' to the Event Contact.

Address details and maps of the Event Locations are shown on the individual Event Details pages; for Events held in private gardens, may we ask you to respect the owners privacy, and not enter the garden before the time specified.
